This is the chart for day 7, there is no updates from this point to the total figures for the 7 dangerous days even if someone dies from injuries from day 1

And so the madness begins!

And so the madness begins . . . again!

Yesterday, went to Central Plaza to stock up for the siege. Chockablock traffic to and from, but manageable, and not nearly as bad as it is going to be today and the next several days.

I figured out how to pay my water bill via QR code using my mobile. That eliminates the mildly annoying visit to 7-11 and B20 surcharge to pay the bill. That was cool! The bill came at a bad time this month, and I didn't want to get cut off or brave a visit to 7-11 during the water madness.

Stay safe everybody. If Songkran is your thing, have fun.  If not, stay dry. In any case, avoid cars and booze and people carrying AK747s.

Yesterday, the BiB had blocked off Sri Chan at Central Plaza (on the Central Plaza side of the street).  So, you couldn't cross Mittraphap Road and continue down Sri Chan.  Coming the other way on Sri Chan, the BiB were forcing cars to turn left, rather than turn left or cross Mittraphap Road.

What exactly was that supposed to accomplish, anyone know?

At a guess Rex, I would say it is to keep the traffic flowing along Mittraphap Road because they can now turn the traffic lights off at the intersection when there is no need to stop the traffic there. It could be a good thing as with the typical activities of water throwing both from cars and at cars it will stop the cars from being either stationary targets or stationary water throwing platforms. Good safety move I think

Logical thinking russell17, but preparation for this might also have had some bearing on it........

The world record for the longest duration "Human Wave" was smashed in downtown Khon Kaen on Monday, the last day of the Songkran festival. The previous record - held by Japan - was beaten by the Thais.............

I knew someone was out there. I could hear you breathing! roll

Thanks for the update, Surfer.  I didn't know about this. Reminds me of one of the Lower Circles of Hell, just above disembowelment and dismemberment and being eaten by zombies!
