90 Day Report Filing Time Frame ?
« on: February 01, 2020, 04:15:45 PM »
Can someone please remind me about the time frame for filing the 90 Day Report

You may file one week before the due date. Correct?

Is there a grace period after the due date?

Thanks, lah!

It's more than a week before.  Not sure exactly, but it might be as early as two weeks.
After - it's 7 days.  I'm sure of that.

Anyone know if you need an appointment for a new passport at the US Consulate in CM?
How about at the US Consulate in Laos?
A long shot, I know.

Terry:  I did the entire new passport via mail last year.  Unless you're looking forward to a road trip you may want to try that route.

I know you need an appointment at both consulates for extensions. Don't know about passport renewal, however, I assume that all embassy business of that nature requires and appointment now.

Thanks.

Yes.  The instructions are found on the U.S. Embassy Bangkok web site under Citizen Services.  They advertise 3-4 weeks, but received mine in about a week.

Thanks.
Looking at the .gov site it says you have to renew in person.  Hadn't looked at the embassy/consulate site.  that's good news.
Thanks very much.

Imm was busy at 10:00 am, so waited 30 min to file my 90 Day Report. However, the actual processing took maybe 60 seconds. Seems to be a streamlined procedure where all the OA did was accept my paperwork and staple a receipt (not the usual bottom part of the TM47) in my passport.

The text on the receipt says that failure to file is now B5,000 + B200 per day past due. See attached.

BLIMEY!!!!!! I'm totally gobsmacked!

Just did my online 90-Day report.

Pressed the final 'Submit' button and reached down to pick up my pen to note the transaction number.

Before I could write anything - there was the 'Approved' message with date for next report.

Amazingly efficient!
