Where can I score some Aspirin?

For some reason, the gov is concerned about people using Aspirin. It has been increasingly more difficult to find, but Mr. Tun has always had it ... until now.  They still have 81 mg "baby aspirin," but not regular, 100% aspirin 300 mg.  You used to be able to get Bayer aspirin 500 mg at Boots, Watsons, PF, everywhere.  No more.


I have always used 100% aspirin for pain and fever. Tylenol and the other non-aspirin stuff doesn't do anything for me.  I wonder why Thailand considers it a problem? Tylenol and the other non-steroidal drugs are not exactly ideal either.

Anyway, if anyone knows where it is available, pls. lemme know.

I was looking in Bangkok for it a while ago and only found one place.
The tablets were around 325mg or 365mg so bigger than normal.

Actually, Fon just found some       at what she describes as the biggest pharmacy in KKC.  Don't know if they plan on always having it in stock.  If you are interested, I'll get more details on Friday. I thought that Mr. Tun no longer carrying it, we would be shit out of luck.

See attached photo of the pharmacy where Fon bought Aspirin.  It is on Na Muang Road, opposite (across the street) from Number 1 Bar. If anyone goes there, you might ask is they have aspirin  available on a regular basis.

So they restrict aspirin but freely sell tramadol which is an opioid and controlled substance?

I know this thread has not been used in quite awhile, but to let you know I got 300mg aspirin at the wholesale pharmacy across Sri Chan Road from the old LH Bank.

Thanks Frank.  I have never gotten any satisfying info about why they feel aspirin is a problem. I have read on TV that when asked, some of the pharmacists have explained they don't carry aspirin "because we are Buddhist" which, of course, makes no sense whatsoever.  Buddhists don't mind Tylenol (et al), but have a hard on about aspirin???  For years, they sold Bayer 500 mg right out  on the shelf a Boots, and other brands were available at most pharmacies in town. TIT!

Maybe we aspirin lovers should start growing willow trees. Just need to figure out how the get the active ingredient from the bark.

Thanks, Surfer.  I have been ordering 81 mg aspiring from Bangkok Drug for months now.  Didn't realize they had higher dosages. Just ordered 325 mg.  They are always very nice over there and even answered my question about why aspirin is hard to get in Thailand:"Aspirin has side effect and interaction with another medication that is why you can not find it easily in drugstore."It was nice of them to answer, but of course, that is not very informative or helpful, and you could say the same thing about Tylenol, et al. Interesting.


Does anyone know of any other countries where aspirin is problematic?
