If you have kids that you hope might one day go to a university outside of Thailand...then avoid any Thai government school. Quite apart from the 60 kid class sizes and lowly motivated teachers, the Matayom 6 school leaving certificate is not recognised as a University Entrance level qualification in most western countries.
My two children studied at Khon Kaen Vithes Suksa Bilingual School (KKVS), the younger one was there about 9 years. They use the Thai national curriculum but taught with Western teaching method. They employ farang English speaking teachers in all primary classes and most of the high school classes. The western teachers are fully qualified teachers, not just some guy teaching english. In addition KKVS is the only school in the North East that offers the Cambridge Exam, in English and other subjects. The school is not cheap, but what price do you put on your kid's education?

I know that the US is not one of those countries.  Where can I get more info about the other western countries?
Are you including all Thai government schools, or just those here in KK?

I see they teach, "math" so I assume their English will be American.

There may be all sorts, I know of 1 good teacher in KKVS who is an Aussie but who knows if there are other nationalities teaching "English" with a very heavy accent.

A friend of my wife sends her son to the bilingual school Patanadek.  It is only a primary school.  Her son really likes the school and has become one of their best students.  It isn't cheap, but not a problem, she is rich!
