Where to find . . . / Re: The Computer Doctor is In!

SSD 480 GB B3,000. Regular hard drive 1 TB = B4,300. Service = B700 = B5,000 done and dusted!

I guess I missed the fact that you were doing a running total here but it was still easy to misinterpret.....

But, it's all good and working at the right price and that's what's important.

฿4,300 is very, very expensive for a 1 TB drive.  Are you sure it's not a bigger capacity?  Unless you have something really specialized you've overpaid massively.

Right now a WD Blue 1 TB is 1,100 TB and a WD Black is 2,550 at JIB online.  Either of those is more than adequate for most consumer needs.

With that age of laptop there may not be a need to replace it completely.  The first thing I'd do is replace the hard drive with an SSD.  You can get the system copied directly over by "cloning" your existing drive.  It may also be worthwhile putting in more RAM if possible.  Couple this with a general system clean up and you'll probably find the difference in speed astounds you.

Visas, et al / Re: Visas again

When you left the last time your stamped in date in April 2019 was automatically cancelled.  If you had returned on or before 24 August, you would have got a further full year.  With a re-entry permit, you could have maintained your 24th April date.

Unfortunately for you, the 30 stamp was correct. The enter before date and the permission to stay date are completely separate things.

What does the enter before date say on the actual visa?

It sounds like you should have got a re-entry permit...

Just got the following email from Immigration saying my online 90 day application has been approved.

That's good to hear that it seems to be working again.  I'll try it first before going to the office when my next report is due.

It USED TO work.  I did it successfully 3 times but they've stopped doing it now according to the IO I specifically asked about it.

There's a place just north of Makro that does have that kind of thing. Can't really remember how extensive the range is.  Called Paisan (or something similar)

Mr Punch, your 1st line.

It looks as though the service is set up using the same WHCMS platform that is used by a number of other IPTV providers.

Could you put that in simple English.  Really don't know what "WHCMS platform" is all about.  I am just a user of the app once it is installed, not a technocrat.

It's just the system that the provider uses to setup and maintain the service. As an end user itsi not really important, especially as a lot of iptv companies use the same system. As an end user there are a number of apps you can use. It comes down to personal preference which one you use but some examples would be:

Perfect Player
IPTV Smarters

My personal choice is StbEmu which mimics a Mag250. This gives an interface which is just like a cable ir satellite box.

Assuming that that is the case then it will probably be possible to watch through a web browser but it won't be the most sophisticated interface.

The last I heard was that it had moved to their house outside the ring road.

If it has since moved back near the Wat on the lake then I'd also be very interested in knowing the new location.
