Visas, et al / Re: Yet MORE Visa Changes being considered.
« Last post by Rex (Admin) on Today at 07:36:36 AM »
It becomes more concerning based on a post on ThaiVisa.com the other day. A guy took a spreadsheet listing his foreign transactions for the past year  to an I/O at KK Imm.  He just wanted to check just to make sure what he would comply when he did his extension later on.  The I/O told him it was not acceptable because deposits for  two of the months were less than B65K even though the the deposits for the entire year totaled more than B800K !!!  Now, this is third-hand info, so take it with a grain of salt.

As to your first point, I have decided to keep have a separate bank account specifically for the purpose of showing foreign transactions, and use another account for all my regular business.  At the end of the year, that will leave a minimum of transactions for Imm and the bank to sort through.

Yesterday, I stopped in to Bangkok Bank to have my bank book updated. Something I never even considered doing previously. Hand the teller my book, she puts it in the machine to update and hands it back. I give it a look and ask her about the gap of transactions and specifically why my early March 2019 foreign transaction was not printed. She says only your first 30 transactions per statement period get printed in the bank book during an update. I have lived by ATM for the last 20 years instead of carrying cash so I might have to modify how I go about things.

Live and learn.

We have a Hitachi canister vac that has worked just fine. It is 2100 watts which is powerful enough and picks up everything. It also has a HEPA filter. The problem with appliances here as opposed to those in the west, is that they are a bit on the small side. That means you will be emptying the dust container quite often. But it is easy to empty and to clean the filters. Also has an auto shut off when the container is full or if the unit overheats. All in all, we have been pleased with it. Think we bought it at Powerbuy.
