The following interesting article was published in the Bangkok Post, 11 July.  I did not realize how many countries are trying to control the use of Airbnb rentals from safety regulation requirements to taxing the rental income of the owners.

I sure wouldn't want to be a condo owner and have one of my neighbors renting out their property to unscrupulous guests.  In Thailand, if a foreigner rents out the property, how does the owner meet Immigration's requirements of Form TM30?  Or is it Aribnb's responsibility?

Especially airport hotels with a trapped clientele...

Mind, not many UK people would consider Stansted to be London.

A small room in a 3 star hotel in London on the same dates, 850 baht extra when you want breakfast  ;)

Hotel breakfasts are always more expensive.

£14 / $16 for breakfast is reasonable????
That's more than you would pay in London.

Yes but when you add that you want breakfast the price goes up about 1,000 baht  :(

EDIT
Just checked again and now breakfast is just 638 baht extra, that is reasonable  :)

I don't know your potential reservation date, but on 25/26 July, a Superior King including breakfast is 2,303++ baht a night.  A Deluxe King plus breakfast is 2,573++ a night.  Both are nonrefundable rooms.

I not from Khon Kaen and usually only get over that way maybe once or twice a month, but usually go to Noko Ti?? for breakfast when I do get over there...

Went by last Sunday late morning and found the place closed???  Is this usual or has he decided that it's just not profitable enough to continue????

Thanks,

Getting to and from Khon Kaen / Re: Khon Kaen to Pattaya by bus

There is no NCA route listed from KKC-Pattaya, only KKC-BKK.  I have never taken Chan Tour, but I hear it is very good. From the website JustinTime posted, it looks like they go all the way to Pattaya.  With the CT route, do you have to change in BKK or someplace?
Chan Tour is direct KKC to Pattaya, but there are a lot stops.

Rex its a simple bus change at their terminal.  If you use someone else, beware of the cockroaches and broken seats......
