I'm a team sports tragic, so I have some interest in pretty much any team sport.

Like you Screamer, I'm a Rugby fan - brought up playing and watching Rugby.

BTW, anyone interested in watching with me the two big grand finals in Australian sport this weekend: Australian Football League (AFL) grand final (Sydney Swans v. Western Bulldogs) on Saturday afternoon and the Aust Rugby League (Melbourne Storm v. Cronulla Sharks) on Sunday evening?

Hi All,

An invitation to lovers of Australian sports ...

I'm interested in forming (often hosting) an interest group to get together to watch various Australian sports (that is, sports played in Australia or internationals played by Australians representing the nation. This would include cricket, AFL (Aussie Rules), ARL (League), ARU (Union), soccer/'football', netball.

I'm a newly arrived, 60YO retired Aussie with a local partner living by the Western lake in KK. Here's my first post/introduction:

Come and say hello  :)

Hi Everyone

If you'd like to make a new friend or pass on any useful info, please contact me. I'm a 60YO Australian who's lived in both Sydney and Melbourne. I'm over-educated (LOL - Ph.D), heavily into sport (many football codes and other sports), fitness (weights and walking/aerobics) and love to share a bottle of wine (very expensive in Thailand). My career backgrounds included accounting, university teaching, economic aspects of medical research and change management in Telecommunications.

I'm newly arrived in KK with a Thai partner and living in a nice home by the Western lake.

Please do say hello; I'm keen to make new friends in KK, especially English speaking Farang. Anyone want to teach me how to read the tactics in American football?
