Sports Bar in Khon Kaen city?
« on: November 25, 2017, 02:18:26 PM »
I wonder,
Is there any Sports Bars in Khon kaen city catering for foreigners?
Not a beer bar with a telly up in a corner, but where they might show several matches or different sports at the same time.

I don't do bars, but technology and modernization in Thailand has changed things for the expat community.  When I first arrived in Thailand in the late 1990s, it was really tough to get acclimated and get things done.  Local bars were virtually the only place to get any news and hang out with other expats. In those days, there was very little on the internet for expats,  Geoff and I started the Pattaya4U website and related Yahoogroup to fill in the gaps.  In Khon Kaen, the Number 1 Bar and and Geoff's posts on this forum pretty much represented the expat community, along with Erics and a couple of others.

These days, culture, news entertainment and communication are portable, and it is much easier to survive and get things done without the need for expat "ghettos."  In towns where peeps are not so spread out as in KKC, it might be different.

Do you thing KKC is unusual in that respect?

It's been a number of years since I have gone out in town but "My Bar" near the Pullman is the only place I can think of might come close to what you're looking for.
Is my identity my own?
Why does anybody feel the need to f**k with it??
