That's as good of an explanation as there is..

Yeah, it was suppose to be funny, but if you never heard it before, I guess it WOULD be confusing.......

WOW! I can't believe it. Not one remark. Either you are all in agreement with my post or you are trying to not offend me or anyone.
I only posted it, because I thought it was appropriate.
I am not a religious nut or a bible thumper but I posted it to show how the Thai government is going to offend some.

I remember when I was young the sermons about the "mark of the beast".

Maybe it's the "wristband of the beast".

Revelation 14:9-11   And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, ďIf anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.Ē

Is 5G really worth it? Especially if you live in a two story house. Or if you live in a house with many rooms and walls.

The 2.4 GHz band is a pretty crowded place, because itís used by more than just Wi-Fi. Old cordless phones, garage door openers, baby monitors, and other devices tend to use the 2.4 GHz band. The longer waves used by the 2.4 GHz band are better suited to longer ranges and transmission through walls and solid objects. So itís arguably better if you need better range on your devices or you have a lot of walls or other objects in the areas where you need coverage. However, because so many devices use the 2.4 GHz band, the resulting congestion can cause dropped connections and slower-than-expected speeds.

What Are Mesh Wi-Fi Systems, and How Do They Work? The 5 GHz band is much less congested, which means you will likely get more stable connections. Youíll also see higher speeds. On the other hand, the shorter waves used by the 5 GHz band makes it less able to penetrate walls and solid objects. Itís also got a shorter effective range than the 2.4 GHz band.  Of course, you may also be able to mitigate that shorter range through the use of range extenders or mesh Wi-Fi systems, but that will mean a bigger investment.

Open discussion / Rubbish Drop Off
« on: March 13, 2018, 08:34:19 AM »
Does anyone know if there is an area, or town dump in Khon Kaen where I can bring a load of trash to drop off?  Our normal trash pickup is on Mondays,
which they never seem to show up for and Thursdays.
Sometimes I have more than I want to leave out in the street or I want to drop it off before leaving town.

Anyway, is there such a place?

If yes, please tell me where.

Absolutely nothing. Just like I thought Elvis had nothing to do with turnips.  I was wrong.
I will go stand in the corner now! :-\

OK Rex,
You got me. What does Elvis singing Blue Suede shoes have to do with turnips?

That's kind of saying " Do you walk to work or carry your lunch".

That is one thing that you have to watch out for before leaving the hospital. They fully understand presenting a bill in English. But, for insurance purposes. The diagnosis, must also be in English. But, they often leave that out. I always have to go back to billing and get them to include the Doctors diagnosis and remarks. Basically, what the hell did I come in here for?  Dah!

Can't seem to get that to sink in sometimes.

Spent four days in BKK hospital Khon Kaen this past week due to complications with asthma. Received excellent treatment, but the cost for four days was 59,000 baht.  "Ouch"

Where to find . . . / Re: Dry Ice

Same principle here. Swans Ice Cream trucks that may be known to our American audience are plugged in at night. The ice cream and all the other frozen food stays rock solid for at least 2 days. Even in the hot Texas sun. There is no other means of  refrigeration on these trucks.

If you are talking about yellow turnips or rutabagas as I know them. Then yes I do indeed love them.

If you watch the video presented last week by the British Embassy for foreigners. It shows it to be less difficult than described here. It basically shows that if you are just renewing  your license, it is a breeze.
