As a growing community shouldn't those in charge be trying to attract the best Thailand has to offer? Right now the attitude of the people is, someone else will clean up after me. Not exactly the best.

I don't know.  should they?

Sir, I have been to Tijuana.  There is no comparison.  Khon Kaen does not have bull fights! roll

Welcome, Tony!

Lazada has a lot of WiFi doorbells.  Don't know if any of them would be suitable.  Then there are always the "big box" stores such as Home Pro

Getting to and from Khon Kaen / Re: Khon Kaen to Pattaya by bus

When I used to travel to BKK more frequently, I like to take the "red eye" at 11:30 pm, pop a xanax, and wake up just as we were pulling into Bangers around 5:30 am.  No problem getting a taxi at the station, and no traffic to the hotel.  Other than that, the best bus to take is the airplane!

Why does the government need to be involved? Surely the condo associations are more than capable of deciding whether or not or to allow Airbnb. Potential condo buyers can be advised if the building is Airbnb and then make an informed decision whether or not they wish to buy.

There is no NCA route listed from KKC-Pattaya, only KKC-BKK.  I have never taken Chan Tour, but I hear it is very good. From the website JustinTime posted, it looks like they go all the way to Pattaya.  With the CT route, do you have to change in BKK or someplace?

Discuss Health & Wellness / Re: Where can I score some Aspirin?

See attached photo of the pharmacy where Fon bought Aspirin.  It is on Na Muang Road, opposite (across the street) from Number 1 Bar. If anyone goes there, you might ask is they have aspirin  available on a regular basis.

Actually, Fon just found some   smiley32    at what she describes as the biggest pharmacy in KKC.  Don't know if they plan on always having it in stock.  If you are interested, I'll get more details on Friday. I thought that Mr. Tun no longer carrying it, we would be shit out of luck.

Discuss Health & Wellness / Where can I score some Aspirin?

For some reason, the gov is concerned about people using Aspirin. It has been increasingly more difficult to find, but Mr. Tun has always had it ... until now.  They still have 81 mg "baby aspirin," but not regular, 100% aspirin 300 mg.  You used to be able to get Bayer aspirin 500 mg at Boots, Watsons, PF, everywhere.  No more.

I have always used 100% aspirin for pain and fever. Tylenol and the other non-aspirin stuff doesn't do anything for me.  I wonder why Thailand considers it a problem? Tylenol and the other non-steroidal drugs are not exactly ideal either.

Anyway, if anyone knows where it is available, pls. lemme know.

Tks, lah!

You are quite right, Mac.  The fees on the ACS website are in dollars.  I know I got the (incorrect) amount from "somewhere," I didn't just make it it--but referring back to the e-mail notification, the correct fees in THB are difficult to miss.  Don't know how I made that goof, but "my bad."

I think I see a trip to Kasikorn Bank tomorrow the cancel the first draft. Such joy!
