Food, Dining, Restaurants / Husky Cafe Khon Kaen
« on: March 20, 2018, 09:12:00 PM »
It has come to my attention that Khon Kaen has a Husky cafe.
Cakes , coffee etc look like Husky dogs.

They have 24 Huskies that come out to play and pose for photos.
All look in good condition and well treated.

Looks worth a visit.

Discuss Shopping / Coffee Capsules
« on: September 13, 2017, 08:54:08 PM »
We all know that Nespresso and Cafecaps are rather expensive.

Yesterday I purchased a BonCafe capsule machine for around 3,500 Baht.
A box of capsules worked out at around 15 Baht per capsule.
Thay have a large box that worked out at 11-12 baht a time.
Much cheaper than other options.

Tasted really good.

BTW last week I purchased a jar of Nescafe instant coffee.
Totally undrinkable. Not coffee but brown water. I gave it away.

Open discussion / Water Supply
« on: April 02, 2017, 07:44:14 AM »
Our village has just been connected up to the town water supply.
Having lived in Thailand for 13 years I have never had water on tap.

A question for those in the town who have had it for a while.

How clean is it?
Do you use it for cooking rice, vegetables? Coffee etc.
Up to now we have always used the bottled stuff.

Where to find . . . / Mr Khan Indian Restaraunt
« on: June 16, 2015, 08:13:00 PM »
Visited Mr Khan today for a takeaway Indian meal.
Quality the same as usual but from now on they will be closed on Wednesdays.

Still the best option in Khon Kaen.

Where to find . . . / Popadums in Makro
« on: June 02, 2015, 01:07:24 PM »
After years of searching I discovered popadums for sale in Makro.
2 or 3 different varieties around 40 Baht a pack.
A nice addition to my Mr Khan takeaway.

Plus they also had Bisto gravy, Branston pickle and a few other western things.
