Any idea what the plan is?

In 4 months they seem to have dug the dry southern 2/3rds deeper and that is it.
Lots of lorries taking earth away and diggers constantly moving the earth but nothing really seems to have changed over the last several months.

Food, Dining, Restaurants / Fatbar

Went in for the first time last night and the food was very good, though the menu was all in Thai.

It is next to Boxwood and the food is much better.

It looks as though Wine Together has closed.

Visas, et al / Visas again
« on: September 19, 2018, 01:20:15 PM »

Last time to Thailand on 25th April 2018 I got stamped to 24th April 2019 with my Aug 2017 1 year multi-entry O-A visa.
I left mid-May.

When I came back in on Tuesday the immig girl said my visa had expired and only gave me 30 days.
I didn't query it at the time as I didn't think about my previous date.

Was she right?

Anyone know the maximum amount I can withdraw from a Thai bank ATM is, the Bangkok Bank in particular?

It is my own account but I've never needed the max before.

Any recommendations?

Food, Dining, Restaurants / New restaurant

Had some nice food at the @khonkaen restaurant the other night.
From the airport road (no.12 coming from city) take the slip road to the left of the airport slip road and go past the new place that looks like a castle and it's on the left about where the sharp curve on the actual airport road is, if that makes sense.

It's only small and set back and doesn't look that inviting but the food was very nice.

At a lunchtime restaurant today there was a long table with 12 people, one of whom was a farang.

I didn't see a single Thai talk to him the whole time and even when they got the waitress to take a group photo he was excluded.

Obviously I don't know the story but is that really still the extent of integration here?

I'm getting things ready to apply for a non immig O-A long stay multi entry visa (UK).

Any idea what ""evidence substantiating your purpose of visit" involves?

You are certainly right about the traffic.

But (O/T) what have they done to the central lake? It is over 50% weed now and looks terrible.
1 more year and it will be all weed.

Can someone remind me of the Thailand Ebay equivalent website, thanks.

I thought it was Lazarus but seems I am wrong.

Anyone having problems sending a message?

I received a pm which I replied to but a day or 2 later wanted to re-read what I had sent but in "My Messages" I can only see "read your messages" as in inbox but no sign of a sent message folder.

So I thought I would try "send a message" but it just keeps asking me to login. I do that but when I click on "send a message" again it just asks me to login again, ad infinitum.

Visas, et al / Multi-Entry Visa - Terry?
« on: January 28, 2017, 07:28:21 PM »
If I have a 1 year multiple-entry Non-Immigrant Visa Category O-A and I wish to leave the country for a weekend/month/3 months do I need to get a re-entry permit while still in Thailand?

I've googled it but the answers seem to be all over the place.
