Apparently there is going to be an open market on the park side of the lake. It is being paid for by the Chinese. Most of the cost of the whole project is being paid by the Chinese.
This is from my doctor at BKK Hospital. Take it for what it's worth.

Rex,
Not to be difficult, but what is the reason to share post? All of my facebook friends don't even live in Thailand. I am not sure if they even care what trivial stuff goes on here.

I don't think "Nookie" will deliver to them either. roll

Where to find . . . / Re: Gas Barbecue Grill
« on: May 10, 2018, 12:31:37 PM »
Global has 2 burner gas grills. They look like a Charbroil clone. Can't remember the price.
I brought a 4 burner stainless gas grill with me from the states. It still looks brand new. Doesn't rust . There is a place in Udon that make stainless gas grills. Not cheap, but will last a lot longer than the Charbroil type.

The only Songkeaw I have ever heard of, is the Buddhist Temples up north.

I could be wrong. I have only been coming here for 45 years. What do I know?

The way I see it.
If these companies are willing to invest in Health Insurance companies.  It kind of signals which way they expect the

Unaffordable Care Act to go.

Itís not that Central Park sucks, per se, but if youíre a tourist, youíre very likely from a place much greener than Manhattan, so you wonít be too impressed by it. Central Park is great for city-dwellers who desperately need to be around some photosynthesis every once in a while, and individuals interested in city planning. Itís not so great for those used to the country atmosphere. But, it is a good place to get mugged at night though.
I came from the White Mountains of New Hampshire and visited Central Park. For me, it just seemed so fake. All those tall buildings around and a patch of green in the middle of a concrete jungle. I guess if that's all you've ever seen then I guess it's alright.

Where to find . . . / Re: Cardboard Moving Boxes

Global was on my list of next stops.
Rex, I will look for a triangle type box. I know exactly what your talking about.

Rex,
Sorry. No triangle boxes. Nothing like it. Just have 2 sizes. One rectangle and one square. The largest being the square ones.
 15" X 15" X 9 3/4"

Global had 2 sizes of boxes. Kind of a medium size. I was hoping for something bigger. I bought some anyway. I can still use them.  The largest was 15" X 15" X 9 3/4"  for you non metric people.

KP: Global stocks flattened cardboard boxes. If you are standing with customer service behind you (at the entrance), go to far end of one of the last aisles on your left (#40 to 42 maybe?).  I seem to recall they have several sizes. I have no idea how much they cost.  Cheers, TS

Awesome,
Thanks.

Does anyone know where I can get large cardboard boxes for moving? I am willing to purchase them. I am not looking to go to supermarkets and such trying to scavenge some boxes. I am looking for clean boxes in various sizes if possible.
A place that sells moving supplies would be good.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Discuss Shopping / Re: Amazon Global
« on: April 21, 2018, 02:45:55 PM »
It's great if you really, really, need something Amazon is selling. But, most of the time. The shipping and import fees come to more than the cost of the product. For instance. My wife wanted a Kitchenaid stand mixer. The shipping and import fees are more than the mixer.
Even though the cost of the mixer is less on Amazon than let's say Lazada. I is still cheaper to buy from Lazada without the shipping and import fees.
Like I said, if you really need Amazon. Then that's OK. But if not, it is very expensive.

According to asiancorrespondent.com,  Thailand only includes victims who died at the scene, while WHO statistics include persons that died within 30 days of the accident.Read more at https://asiancorrespondent.com/2015/03/thailand-road-deaths/#gtKF8r7SBcpPKBCd.99

Discuss Shopping / Re: Stainless Steel Fabricator
« on: April 11, 2018, 07:57:44 PM »
Just like always happens in my life. I stopped by more places dealing in stainless steel and they all say they can make me a better table at a better price in a shorter amount of time.
Even though the person I am dealing with didn't want any money down and I could easily walk away and deal with these other people. I feel he was being straight and honest with me.
So I will stick with him.

How do those others know they can make me a better table? They haven't seen the one I am having made!
