You have a 12 month extension of stay based on marriage.
Same as me.
I have had a bank account with SCB for years. Opened at the branch in BigC.
A very helpful branch and have internet banking.
Best to try banks in shopping centers that are used to foreigners.
Take your Wife with you as it should help.

Electricity and water companies are a joke.
Constant power cuts and days without water.
That's what comes with monopolies and a local population that just puts up with things.

Being able to watch cricket live is enough for me. I missed that so much when I first came here.

Being from across the pond you probably wont even know what it is.lol

I have tried most of these IPTV services and they are all ok up to a point.
Signed up with Area51 this morning and impressed so far.
All the channels anyone can need.
Time will tell. The big test is usually when they stream big live sports events.
At $5 a month it is not a lot to lose if it all goes wrong.

Quickfire BBQ in Udon Thani.
Go and see Doc who makes great BBQs that last forever.
Not cheap but great quality.

I stay indoors during the moron festival.
A total idiotic time run for idiots by idiots.

Any "culture" that actually promotes throwing missiles at moving cars and bikes has a huge problem.

They opened a new Tesco near us last week.
A medium sized one.
Not bad but lacking a few items like cheese so will still have to go into town.

Food, Dining, Restaurants / Husky Cafe Khon Kaen
« on: March 20, 2018, 09:12:00 PM »
It has come to my attention that Khon Kaen has a Husky cafe.
Cakes , coffee etc look like Husky dogs.

They have 24 Huskies that come out to play and pose for photos.
All look in good condition and well treated.

Looks worth a visit.

Plenty of streaming services out there.
Ranging from 250 to 1,000 Baht a month.
None of them are perfect but they are what they are.

I think that powerline extenders work better.
They actually send the internet signal through the electric cables of the house.
Thus getting a perfect LAN or Wi Fi signal in the room the adapter is plugged in.

A VPN will always cut the signal.
Maybe your laptop is too old as you say.

Just done a bit of checking and some wireless cards to not support 5G.

Are you connecting to the 5G signal?
Having said that, the 2.4 signal should still be a lot more than 15 mbps.
