You can also get emergency LED bulbs.
They contain a small battery so that during a power cut they continue to work.
I got mine in BigC.

1. Yes but it won't dim. It will only switch on and off.
2. Yes there are or were but the electric here is so unstable that as soon as someone flushes the toilet or has a shower the light will go out.
3. They all had them but have not looked for a while.

CFLs are old tech now. Get LEDs and save money.

Immigration prefer the Retirement option as they make the final decision on the spot.
The Marriage option is sent to Korat for approval so they have to make sure everything is spot on.

As I said, get all your documentation correct and it takes about 30 minutes to complete.
Not a big deal.

The witness is usually required first time only. After that things are pretty straight forward.

There is no such thing as a dependent visa.
What you applied for was a 12 month extension of stay based on having a Thai Wife.
Pretty routine and easy to apply for.
I applied for one at KK last week.
Took 30 minutes from start to finish.

Why do you think you are tying up 400,000 Baht?

Don't forget to return at the given date to collect your stamp.

It makes no difference when you go and own up.
The fine is usually 2,000 Baht but it can go up to 5,000 baht if they actually catch you out rather than you owning up.

Get down there and pay up. Not going to break the bank is it?

To each his own, but from a very reliable source, it was seriously suggested to keep a copy of the DL in the car.  If the cop objects to it, he will then request that you come to the station with the original.

Same with women drivers, go through a 'sobriety check point, the farang will get to blow in the tube while a woman (Thai of course) is directed to pass through.  It has happened multiple times with my wife and me in the car, her driving.  When I would drive, I got to blow into the tube!

If you are not drunk you have nothing to worry about.

Pretty impossible for most of us.
No job, no work permit and no record of tax payments.

We have always taken our dogs to KKU animal hospital for every thing and would always do so.
Good and not expensive.

Total rip-off. Even have to continue with the 90 day reporting!!!!!!!!!

If possible, the best  thing is to get Permanent Residency or Citizenship, which is actually pretty simple these days.

It is???
Impossible for most of us!

Never seen a postman round here on a Sunday.

No it is never reached because most of us will not qualify.
For some obscure reason they seem to prefer working and paying tax against providing for your family and being a good citizen.
Bizarre.

Your right. My bad!
Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh. Wasn't meant to be.
