I went to the Bangkok Bank on Monday to give them a change of address. I could have told them anything, they didn't want any verification.

Now a tick down for Chill Your Mind, south of the airport.

First time at this new restaurant and it wasn't a great success.
The music was deafening, either from the live music, which was a shame as they were actually pretty good, or the house music.
When we were the only people in, a group of 5, we asked them to turn it down because we couldn't talk to each other but that fell on deaf ears.....
It would have been difficult anyway as it was a large table and the people were far apart. I don't like that style.
The table was also very low which meant you were well leaned forward when eating which is very uncomfortable.
The menu was all in Thai so I ordered something I am familiar with and it was very bland.
Another fish dish was also pretty tasteless.
So this place has potential but a lot needs changing and it will be 3-6 months before I give it another go.

Ok, ok, Kaen Nakhon.
I thought the description and question would have made it obvious.

A lot of people will be VERY happy if the Chinese disappear.
They jump queues, get in first and strip buffets, take anything that isn't screwed down.....

I was in a restaurant recently and a Chinese man was eating with no top on and repeatedly spitting on the ground.

A university in Chiang Mai had to lock the lecture room doors so stop the Chinese from going in and talking very loudly throughout.
Then they urinate and defaecate all over the grounds.

Their own government knows how they behave and have issued (guidelines) but they fall on dear ears.

Thanks for that.
I'll just hang on with what I've got.

And a big tick-up for Outlaw bar and restaurant near Phichamon 2.
Only small but a good range of craft beers and tasty food.

Any idea what the plan is?

In 4 months they seem to have dug the dry southern 2/3rds deeper and that is it.
Lots of lorries taking earth away and diggers constantly moving the earth but nothing really seems to have changed over the last several months.

Went in for the first time last night and the food was very good, though the menu was all in Thai.

It is next to Boxwood and the food is much better.

It looks as though Wine Together has closed.

When you left the last time your stamped in date in April 2019 was automatically cancelled.  If you had returned on or before 24 August, you would have got a further full year.  With a re-entry permit, you could have maintained your 24th April date.

Unfortunately for you, the 30 stamp was correct. The enter before date and the permission to stay date are completely separate things.

Thanks for that, glad there are people here who know about these things.  smiley32

What does the enter before date say on the actual visa?

It sounds like you should have got a re-entry permit...

24th August 2018, 1 year on from when it was issued.
I've seen on here before that doing what I do should give me 2 years.

Last time to Thailand on 25th April 2018 I got stamped to 24th April 2019 with my Aug 2017 1 year multi-entry O-A visa.
I left mid-May.

When I came back in on Tuesday the immig girl said my visa had expired and only gave me 30 days.
I didn't query it at the time as I didn't think about my previous date.

Was she right?
